For some reason during lockdown I started to look into the music that was played at the ‘summer of love’ parties from 1988-1989. I mostly watched YouTube videos of parties in London, Blackburn, etc, shazaming anything that I liked. These 14 tracks are my favourites that I heard being played.

All tracks were released pre-1990, with the majority of them released in ’88 or ’89. The DJs at the parties seemed to play anything from Balearic, to breakbeat, Italo to Latin-influenced stuff, so the playlist reflects that. Hope you like them.
