This February I was in the Hilton in Addis Ababa where I met a man named Mulatu. He was impressed that I was part of the Myxomatapesis group. He slipped me a fiver and made me promise that when my time came, I would make a mixtape with some of his stuff, some of his mate’s stuff and some other stuff. 

So here it is, a load of songs from East and West Africa. The first half is vintage Ethiopian swing and laid back desert blues. This merges into a more upbeat second half of afrobeat classics and a few modern bangers.
