This selection is inspired by Philip Pullman’s storytelling in his trilogy His Dark Materials, both its connections between worlds and exploration of relationships within them. There are no daemons, but you’ll find plenty of our fellow creatures, a smattering of Edgar Allen Poe and at least one ghost. Not a lot of laughs, then, but a lot of compassion, and it ends comfortingly with Jane Siberry’s take on Psalm 23, sung by kd Lang, and Sandy Denny’s “miles and miles of rosy sky”.
